John was raised around a dining table that felt like the United Nations, surrounded by Native American foster brothers, refugees, exchange students, and cousins under one roof. By age 22, he had traveled to all 50 U.S. states and 19 countries. That early exposure to culture, human difference, and deep listening shaped everything he now teaches.
He found his first voice on the stage through theater, music, and leadership roles. But underneath the applause was a sensitive kid shaped by childhood trauma and the fear of not being enough. He became a high achiever, driven by perfectionism and people-pleasing, thinking if he just looked the part, he’d be okay.
That belief took him far. He worked at high levels of international strategy and innovation, guiding universities, startups, and public-private ecosystems across sectors and continents. But it also left him burned out and disconnected. His greatest transformation came when I stopped performing and started aligning.
Today, he helps leaders do the same. He guides them to lead with depth, build teams rooted in trust, and create results that don’t cost them their soul. His upcoming book, SYNC to the Beat of Success, explores that journey and shares how to replace burnout with rhythm and pressure with purpose.
