Roger Barnes is an experienced professional with executive experience in multiple industries. As a proven visionary and leader, he excelled in accounting, finance, construction, commercial development, non-profit management, faith-based counseling, and as a sole proprietor. He also loves to give back with numerous community activities as a lifelong member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. All of which including his solution to the durable outdoor clothing gap via the launch of Trailrider became the inspiration for Rick’s personalized rendition of the Wayne Shorter Jazz Classic “Black Nile” for this MUST SEE episode! Roger also serves as a Board of Director member for several corporations and community organizations. A particular passion has been his ardent support of entrepreneurs, specifically minority-owned, woman-owned and other small businesses. He has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to community service..
Barnes obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Norfolk State University, where he graduated with honors. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). An MBA degree in Business Management was attained at Loyola University.
Roger Barnes is also a lifelong member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. For many decades he has also served as a community worker and social activist. He achieved national acclaim in the area of corporate ethics and has been featured on radio and in numerous international and national print media, including USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Black Enterprise Magazine and many others.
