The musical journey of Takeshi Arima began in 2016 when he decided to take voice training for some kicks. He then started composing music in 2021.
He was born in 1965 and at 59 years old, he is originally part of the DISCO generation, but when he went to the revived DISCO Maharaja in Osaka, Japan a few years ago, a friend of his who graduated from a music college and has lived on the path of music said to him, “When I saw you dancing, I thought I would stop music. When I saw you dancing, I thought I would quit music”. When asked why, his friend replied, “Arima-san, when you hear music, images come to you on their own, don’t they? That’s not normal,” he replied, “If Arima-san practiced piano or guitar, he would be able to write a song right away.”
A while later, he had a chance to start composing music with DTM, and was able to write melody lines and lyrics, but could not create accompaniment. When he saw an advertisement on Instagram for artists wanted by “Theatre Academy”, he applied and was accepted.
